The planning and preparation process involves finalizing the project drawings and plans and submitting the plans to the local building department for plan review and permitting. Once the plans are reviewed you'll review contractor bids and award contracts. Overall the planning phase is scheduled to take 30 days, but this phase can take substantially longer if you are hiring an architect to design custom plans from scratch. The permitting process can also vary substantially depending on your local jurisdiction.
The site prep has involves surveying and staking the lot, locating utilities and getting the site prepped for the earthwork and foundations.
The Exterior Work involves sitework, earthwork, utilities, foundation and structural framing to construct the shell of a new building, The Exterior work is scheduled to take approximately 3 months.
The interior work includes new MEP rough-in, insulation drywall, kitchen and bathrooms and interior finishes throughout the property. The Interior Work is scheduled to take about 2.5 months.
