Flipperforce has two project management tools, the Task Manager & the Project Scheduler which are used for managing project timelines and daily tasks and to-dos to help keep your projects on track.
The Task Manager is primarily used to handle small every day miscellaneous tasks and to-dos...This would be small day-to-day tasks like take before photos of the property, place the lockbox and key at the property, order a dumpster, turn on utilities and the hundreds of other small tasks that you have to get done on your typical house flip.
The Project Scheduler is used to build a gantt timeline for the major construction tasks and construction milestones on your project that are used to plan and coordinate your contractor start and completion dates. These are major construction tasks like roofing, siding, windows, exterior painting, demolition, rough-in drywall, cabinetry.
The Project Scheduler also has unique construction scheduling functionality that allows you to build in task dependencies, autoschedule and identify the critical path.
So again the main difference between the two tools is the Task Manager is for small miscellaneous, tasks and to-dos. And the Project Scheduler is used to plan and manage all major construction activities on your projects that’s used to schedule your contractor stat and complete dates.
The reason we don’t have the Tasks feed over to the Project Scheduler and gantt timeline is because we don’t want our Gantt timeline to be cluttered with all of the small, trivial day-to-day tasks and to-dos from your task manager.
We keep the Project Scheduler as a separate tool so you have a nice clean gantt timeline that only focuses on the major construction tasks and milestones on your project.
If you do need to see an overall view of all of your project tasks and schedules in one location, you can use the Project Calendar, which displays all of your tasks and schedules and events in one calendar view, which you can view by month by week, by day.
