With our new User Management & Access Control update you can now add multiple team members to your workspace and control user access so team members can only view and edit certain tools in the software.
This will allow you to add project teams to your workspace and control user access based upon their roles in the company.
Our User Management & Access Control functionality is only included in our Small Business Plans & Enterprise Plans so if you are currently subscribed to the individual Pro Plan the first thing you will need to do is upgrade your account to one of our business plans.
Once you get your account upgraded you will be able to add additional users to your team.
I’m going to add Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce & Andy Reid to my account as new users, because when they are not playing football on Sunday they are working for me flipping houses..
Once you add a user to your workspace, an email invitation will be sent out to the user to accept your invitation.
Once the new user accepts the invitation, the account owner and workspace admins can use the Access Control functionality to edit the user’s access to the workspace and control the tools the users can access in their accounts.
Our Access Control functionality is ideal for project teams that have defined roles in their businesses.
So for example, in our business Patrick Mahomes specializes in deal analysis and acquisitions, so he only needs access to our Deal Analysis tools to evaluate potential deals.
Now Travis Kelce, he is our designated project manager who’s sole responsibility is to manage the construction, so he only needs access to the project management tools.
And then Andy Reid is our bookkeeper who’s sole responsibility is to enter expenses and receipts into the expense tracker.
So our User Management & Access control can be a great way to show users the tools they need and hide the tools they don’t need, so they don’t get distracted with other features and the software.
our new User Management functionality can also be used to grant access to individuals outside of your organization.
So for example you could give a contractor access to the repair estimator tool so they can put together an estimate for you, or your could give the contractor access to the Project Scheduler to build and manage your schedule for the project.
Or maybe you use an outside bookkeeper or virtual assistant to enter invoices and manage your books, if so, you could give them access just to the expense tracker so they can enter expenses, but not get distracted by the other tools in the software.
So let’s login to Patrick Mahomes account, remember, he is the Kansas City chiefs qb that throws TD passes, but he also works for me on the side as an acquisition specialist, so as an acquisition specalist he only needs acess to the Deal ANalysis tools, such as the Flip ANalyzer, Repair Estimator & Deal ANalysis reports. So you can see in his account, in the sidebar, he only has acess to the deal analysis tools, and doesn’t have access to the other Proejct Management & Accounting featrures. This way patrick can focus on what he does best which is finding and analyzing deals and dominating the Oakland Raiders.
So to recap, our user management and access control functionality can be a great way to manage project teams and control access to the different software features throughout the software.
